Directing workshops a huge success!

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

Paridym Pictures hosts Directing workshops with Paridym Director Mohammad Gorjestani. The workshop are a series of classes on the art and craft of film Directing.

If you are a Bay Area filmmaker looking to tell an effective story using the tools of filmmaking, I highly suggest stopping by our next event(s)! Our classes are geared towards specific Directing topics discussing one element of production such as Casting, Production Design, Cinematography, Actors, and much more.

We had a great turn out for the workshops, from aspiring writers, to actors, to seasoned Directors all eager to learn what Mo had to say.

For the first class, we started the workshop with a quick Q&A, where everyone got to know one another and then got straight to business. Using just one scene from the feature film Swingers, Mo broke down all the elements. From character analysis, to rehearsing, to the importance of knowing the Directors tools (camera), the attendees had their notebooks full in no time with just the 3/4 of a page script. An amazing discussion ensued and concluded the workshop when everyone actually watched the scene from the film.

Here are some behind the scene snaps.
