We have more space at our studio now! Our studio was originally set up with extra cubicles near the stage for rentals. It was a great place for crew such as Producers or Production coordinators to set up shop close to the production.
The cubicles however, were taking up a bunch of space as they were right in the middle of everything. We decided that it would be optimal to clear the space and open it up for more room to breathe. Now, we have more space to hold events and freedom to move around for production. We even opened up the cubicles around the walls so now the studio feels open and spacious.
And when you have this much space, the first thing to do is set up a quick stick ball game with a ball of duct tape. Notice the high strike zone, a pitchers delight.
Set up for web video or commercial productions or if you just want to get transported to Narnia, all from the comfort of our studio space. Give us a call on how we can take your productions to the next level.
Paridym Pictures and clai.tv came together Thursday evening at our studios to introduce their new “Extreme Red Exposure Initiative” which allowed attendees to be in the same room as 4 RED cameras! The event was sold out with cinematographers, directors, writers, artists, and just some curious folk looking to see what the 4k camera had to offer.
Chris and his team set up an amazing backdrop which let attendees get behind the camera and really shoot some footage. Chris was joined by Cameraman Stephen Lovett, Jim Cummings, and Brandon who also provided their Red Camera set ups for the event.

The event started at 6:30 and people showed up eager to get started. We provided wine and room for guests to mingle and network before hand.

We got the event underway at 7:00 where Chris gave a presentation on the camera. Everyone was all ears as they listened to camera specs, workflow, and editorial. Chris was hounded with questions from how to handle data to camera criticism. But because of the set up, Chris was able to showcase the dynamic range of the camera and how his team shoots with the Red.

After the presentation, and the constant bombardment of technical questions, the floor was open for anyone to go up and play with the camera. Also, the editorial and color correction stations were opened for people to try their hands experimenting with live red footage.

Paridym Pictures hosts Directing workshops with Paridym Director Mohammad Gorjestani. The workshop are a series of classes on the art and craft of film Directing.
If you are a Bay Area filmmaker looking to tell an effective story using the tools of filmmaking, I highly suggest stopping by our next event(s)! Our classes are geared towards specific Directing topics discussing one element of production such as Casting, Production Design, Cinematography, Actors, and much more.
We had a great turn out for the workshops, from aspiring writers, to actors, to seasoned Directors all eager to learn what Mo had to say.
For the first class, we started the workshop with a quick Q&A, where everyone got to know one another and then got straight to business. Using just one scene from the feature film Swingers, Mo broke down all the elements. From character analysis, to rehearsing, to the importance of knowing the Directors tools (camera), the attendees had their notebooks full in no time with just the 3/4 of a page script. An amazing discussion ensued and concluded the workshop when everyone actually watched the scene from the film.
We managed to smuggle a few snaps during rehearsal from the super secret commercial Apple shot at Silicon Valley Studios for their I-movie demo. Children in lab coats in front of a green screen, what will Apple think of next!?
